Federation, with Kobukan Chief Instructors Clive Young and Anne-Marie Box.

About the club...
Kobukan Karate Club was founded in Windsor in 1973 by Sensei Roger Carpenter, 6th Dan, Chief Instructor of SKKIF. Over the past 30 years Sensei Carpenter has taught traditional Shotokan karate to many hundreds of students in the Windsor area, many of whom have progressed to 1st Dan black belt and beyond. Sensei Carpenter oversees the SKKIF organisation in the UK and visits each club twice yearly to ensure consistency of training and to maintain appropriate standards within each club.

Sensei Clive Young set up the Greenford Karate Club (Fudokai) in 1981 and instructed there until 1986. He is now joint Chief Instructor at Kobukan together with Sensei Anne-Marie Box.
Kobukan welcomes all students from 7 years upwards and believes that anyone can practice karate and benefit from its unique approach to fitness, co-ordination, flexibility and self-defence. Karate is particularly beneficial to children and young people in helping to improve concentration and build confidence. Sensei Anne-Marie Box has a wealth of experience in teaching children and runs the popular children's class on Thursdays 7.00pm - 8.00pm.
